Pitino and Iona

Rick Pitino: “I took the job wanting it to be my last job. I spoke to numerous people about it and I’m glad I’m ending it with a small Catholic school that has the potential to be built up into a major power. It's a perfect fit at perfect time in my life

Wow. I was one who thought he’d never coach again in college basketball. Certainly a daring move by Iona.

Rick Pitino: "My biggest regret in coaching was leaving Providence College. They were two magical years in my life. It was a small Catholic school with a small gym I loved so much. I'm going back to a similar situation. I know I'll love it equally the same." #icmbb

Can’t wait to see the white suit in Atlantic City for MAAC Tourney

Ask yourself do you think Kansas fans care what Self did wrong? They have a crapload of real violations and just appealed to delay the punishment! They may have yanked the banner but they still would of won!

For all his nonsense I have a soft spot for Pitino. I wish him well at Iona. I am very happy we hired Mike
Anderson and not Pitino though. He is a true professional and is a great representative for the school and seems to be making a difference in the players success on and off the court.

Not a big crapshoot for mid major iona. I dod t exactly call it but see my post on the cluess thread from this morning.

Chance to elevate the program to national national prominence
