I have been on this site for a very long time, and I must admit lurking over the other sites has caused me to find Choz and the is spot on in his posts. He shows an intimate knowledge of what is going on the the basketball world. He has a simple down to earth perspective that is a joy to read. I think he is right on about the things he says about our coach. )ver the years Choz has become one of my favorite posters. Coach Lavin has had a setback that he is dealing with and yes it has trickled down to the team. He is however getting stronger every day and will be back. He will tend to all the things that need to be attended to, and when he does and he has regained his strength, he will be a dynamo that few people can match. He will do all the things that he does that make him who he, recruiting and adding pieces to the team he has already has in Red and White. Oh yes he will become a elite coach and build us to that level. We can just dream about. Just a little while longer........
While he may show an intimate knowledge of what is going in the basketball world, he has zero knowledge of how to write and use proper English/grammar.
Comments like this are why Choz no longer posts here. Shame.

How can you seriously be sensitive to Choz' writing skills here, but in the forum concerning taunting players think its ok to taunt a player's academic difficulties?

What in the world are you talking about?
Where did I ever say that was ok?

I was really tired when I wrote that, but in the thread about Robbins calling out the student section over the chants in the Arizona game, someone posted the "funny" taunts to a player over his academic failures. I started to post there, then thought better of it, came over here and saw all this appropriate defense of a good poster whose writing skills were assailed. It may not have been you, but I really take exception to the notion that we can taunt opposing players and coaches with putdowns that have too much reality in them, too much venom, and have nothing to do with basketball. As we saw last week in the Xavier-Cincy game, these players are not made out of stone, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a player going into the stands really soon if this kid of stuff doesn't stop.

If you see the whole post I did it more as a shot at Robbins. He wasn't at the Manhattan game but my curiousity was whether or not he or someone else should have called out the Manhattan students. Yes I laughed the first time. I know Fatty's history. Most of the people in the stands probably had no clue. The 2nd time I still was laughing a bit. By the 3rd and 4th chant I thought it was old and overboard.
Here is a question for you though. AJ Price was caught stealing laptops. A lot of schools gave him flack for that. You feel thats overboard? It's public knowledge of him doing something wrong. I think there is a fine line. A couple jokes here and there is funny, you get the initial laugh. But over time it becomes troublesome.
