I can't believe that I am saying this, but Rothstein and Zach B are reporting that Paul Hewitt is interested in the St John's job. He is currently a scout for the L.A. Clippers.

Honestly I think I'd prefer Hewitt to Jones...Hewitt has at least recruited at schools that offer scholarships and made a Final Four (which was what got everyone all excited about Moser's potential)
He was fired by George Mason of the A10 back in 2015. Since that time, think of how many coaching vacancies have come up and how NOBODY hired him. I'm not just talking Big East. I'm talking A10/WCC/AAC/etc/etc.
It is seriously ****ed up that we're even considering him.
By the end of his time at George Mason they were a complete basket case. They thought he was the right guy to replace Larranaga, and he ran the program into the ground. They canned him and hired a real coach - Dave Paulsen from Bucknell.

You really need to dig deep to scrape the bottom of this barrel to come up with Paul Hewitt. Georgia Tech did everything but give him up to SJU in 2010 and his wife said no only to be fired by Tech 1 year later.

Sources: Yale's James Jones, Paul Hewitt, and former Arkansas head coach Mike Anderson have now all emerged as candidates for the head coaching vacancy at St. John's. All three had dialogue with the school today. No timetable for a final decision. #SJUBB

We'e in no rush
We still have a few guys on the roster
They'll offer the job to all three guys and see who will take it for the least amount of money
The St John's way to make a decision - GO CHEAP!!!!

My teachers always told me when your not sure of the answer on a mutiple choice test then to go with the longest answer. Please take this advice sju.
