It could happen, or at least all Big East games in larger arenas (like Nassau Coll or Barclay). Expansion of CA ruled out for now.
Why is expansion of CA ruled out for now Beast?
Maybe because we just spent $4m on a buyout?
See what happens when you continuously screw up every 5 years. Money that could've been allocated to basketball operations like improvements at CA, or adding assistant coaches so we can recruit and be competitive, gets waylaid or postponed. Once again, Thanks to the 2 knuckleheads . Thank God Coach K was around to straighten out those clowns before they went ahead and hired another bimbo.

The new arena at Belmont when it opens is going to be super convenient to get to. Hope the school is already in negotiations to play some games there.

The managerial errors re the contracts given to Rohrssen and Mullin and the subsequent buyouts - $6.5 million, would be adequate grounds for dismissal, at a well-run business.
When you add the buyouts for Lavin, Roberts, Jarvis, Fran and Mahoney, you have a grand total of approximately $11- 12 million that could have gone to more worthy projects.

I would prefer to see CA “downsized” to 4,000 comfortable seats, and play all BE and any big OCC games at the Garden

Do we know that Mullin actually received $4 mil.?

I used four million because that was the number that was mentioned on a number of posts. No alternate amount was provided, but the amount could certainly be different.

You guys are really really good at connecting dots that do not exist. SJU brought in engineers months ago to consider expansion, and that seemed to be the direction they were heading. I have an idea that when they didn't have a good idea of the costs, and the decision to use area existing facilities where we draw well and capacity is much higher (such as MSG) made the go forward decision clear to administration. Decision had nothing to do with coaching situation.

As long as they open up the LIRR Belmont Park stop for those games.

If not, it's going to be tough for me, since I don't drive (fortunately, I only have to take two buses from where I live to CA. The only time that's an issue is after weekend night games).

I believe that's the plan. Not sure where I read that, though.

Edit: For all events I mean. I assume we would be considered one of those.

Another great tradition is a dinner that the career center hosts that invites employers to meet with senior athletes in all sports. There are some disciplines where the competitive spirit that athletics require also fuel career success. but it's a strong move on the university's part to invite employers to meet athletes.
