BREAKING: IOC spokesman: Report that swimmer Lochte robbed at gunpoint 'absolutely not true,' according to Lochte and USOC.

Guess the five foot guy running away wearing a ski mask & red, white & blue "Speedo" confused folks.

Knowing the police in South America very well ( I say only half jokingly ) the police probably dissuaded him from filing a police report. Or at least that's what would have happened if he wasnt famous

I watched the Lochte interview last night on nbc. The strangest thing is he said the cops didn't have lights or anything. Just a badge. So what is a cab doing pulling over or stopping for a car without lights. In peru there is a scam that's been going on for years where the cab driver is in on the scam and basically drives you and then stops in a side street where you get robbed by other people that way the cab driver pretends he isn't in on it. That's why we use a rental car in lima or Nathalie uses the internet app called easy taxi which is like Uber.

The other strange thing is I'm assuming the france hospitality house was in a really nice area so with all the cops and military patrolling the streets I cant imagine thieves brazen enough to set up a road block with a police car so if they did it wouldn't shock me if it was police that did it. Also why didn't they take their cell phones. Stealing cell phones is huge in South America. Maybe even bigger than robberies at least in Peru and Bolivia.

Personally I think they were targeted since they were leaving the france house late night or early morning

surprisingly Brasil was the higher seed against Kerri Walsh/ April Ross. Tremendous defence. Wonder how they'll do against the Germans.

I thought the D we played the game before was the best of the tourney but Brazil tonight was unstoppable. They were great

something is fishy here. Always knew Lochte was a POS but I wouldn't be surprised if he told his mommy this story but left out the part where they were doing drugs or banging hookers that night. And when she opened her mouth to the media I think she dug his grave. Just speculating here but they would've been better off keeping this story to themselves it seems.

His mom had a big mouth about his personal life four years ago. She's the last person he should mention anything to.
 
They have video of them returning to the Olympic village w their watches on . What thieves don't take watches and cell phones. IMO, the robbery did not happen and if I were Lochte I would say I was drinking and may have got my facts mixed up.
 
These guys must live like Monks for several years leading up to the Olympics. They are wound so tight that when it's finally over, they let loose like they have just been released from a long prison stay.
 
I'm a sucker for our athletes when they get emotional when they get their metals and hear our national anthem.

Hardly monks! Young athletes, high testosterone, magnetic attraction to opposite sex ( most of the time ) and you will understand why the Olympic Committee handed out 50,000 free condoms to the athletes. For whatever reason swimmers are more active than equestrian athletes after their events are over.! LOL!
