This is the truth.

We have PG issues. We only play defense well in spurts. There are times where it is completely non-existant. We have rebounding issues. The shot selection and offense close and late has been suspect. All valid concerns. Yet, despite all that, we have had the lead in the 2nd half against Michigan, Alabama, Iowa St and Auburn all ranked teams, 3 of whom easily top 15. we have pretty much destroyed everyone else including Baylor. Pitino will absolutely find a way to at least partially fix everything that is concerning. We are all on the ledge due to the pre-season hype and expectations. Are there issues? yes. Are some of those issues glaring? yes. But, we have shown that we have the ingredients to be a very very good team. What has happened thus far will hurt our seeding. But, nothing has told us what we hope to be is impossible.

And now, back to Ole Miss which we all agree is a must win or want to win or should win or gee we'd really like to win or hope we win or something like that.

Anybody seen them play and have any insight?

They are pretty meh. Their French PG is very good and might give us trouble as he can score from all 3 levels.

If lose this game 19-12 means will probably have to win 2 games in BET to make the tournament.

If we only go 13-7 in the Big East with only two OCC wins against P5 schools Baylor and Ole Miss, we will not make the tournament. If we don’t beat both Ole Miss and Kentucky then we need to go 16-4 in conference.

For what it’s worth. Cheapest subscription I am seeing for Peacock is $7.99 a month. However Walmart is running a deal today only that if you join Walmart + (sounds kind of like Amazon Prime) for a year for $49 you get Peacock for free for that entire year. I may go that route as the wife likes to shop online.

Larry, we are not going 13-7 in the Big East. We lost to two ranked teams. There might be two ranked teams in the Big East this year - and we are one of them. Plus we will be better by the time league play arrives in part due to the better competition we have been playing.

Probably a worst case scenario is 15-5 in the league and I think we will be a game or two better than that.

Having said that, agree it is important to be Ole Miss for a variety of reasons

I think it's more important to beat Ole Miss, rather than be Ole Miss. I already have the Ole part covered though....
