Obekpa's Shorts

added this one here as well thanks to Redstorm89 for posting the video. This one cuts in at the relevant point at the 3:50 mark:

Obekpa also waved a Mutombo-like finger the other night - something I've been waiting for him to do. Clever packaging bound to attract attention on both counts.

Big hit single originally recorded by the Royal Teens, a group with a 14-year-old guitarist named Al Kooper.

Better hope the refs don't see it-in college it is a technical foul for taunting.

I don't like trash talking or showing someone up but I have to admit I use to love when Mutombo did that in a game. I also loved it when he got dunked on in the game, and the opposing team's bench (I forgot what team it was) all started waiving their finger in the" Mutombo" style

When Obekpa was called for goal tending against the Cuse last Saturday, the cameras flashed on him going back up court smiling and shaking his head and then he did the Mutumbo finger wave. I don't know if he was trying to say it was a good block or whom it was directed to. He does have to be careful because he could get a tech for doing it in front of an opposing player.

You know your season is off to a good start when:

1) there is not an active "Fire the Head Coach" thread on the first page
2) there are three pages of comments on a players (short) shorts

Let's hope it continues.

Back on topic, I am watching the end of the Rutgers- Tennessee women's game
Two Rutgers players have rolled up their shorts a la Obekpa
CO seems to be a fashion trend setter on the court this season
Who knew that the "old school" style of shorts would catch on?
