Diallo reminds me of Norvel Pelle. Honestly, Obekpa has a great future but staying his last year will only HELP him. Having Obekpa play along with Diallo...oh man!!!

Haven't seen Diallo in person, but every video I've ever watched of him has left me unimpressed. Dunk after dunk after dunk in every highlight video, what happens when he is just a freshman and not the biggest kid on the floor?

No, not yet.
I do know the admin isn't thrilled with Lavin's expensive recruiting budget to see kids over seas. IMO he must sign another import to justify the money he has spent to date.

He may not be very refined offensively, but is getting better. He runs the floor quickly and relentlessly & certainly is a prime PF prospect. As stated by others, doubt he gives us a sniff without quality point guard. The assumption of his camp that he is "one and done" is better left for another day.

I haven't seen him in perso either but I have seen a few of his games on television. Even in the highlight reel there are a couple of good moves when he gets the ball in the post or around 10 feet from the basket and making steong moves and scoring. He isn't Okafor but he has a pretty good offensive arsenal.
If given the choice, honestly I think I would take Freeman ahead of him. But you have got to go 100% after a top 10 player in your backyard.
Wasnt trying to be dismissive, think Diallo would be more than a great pickup. But keep in mind, even though Freeman is a JUCO, there is a good chance he will be in college longer than Diallo and could also be more ready to play from the get go.
