NIT

The minimum standard I felt coming in for CMA to keep his job after last season was to make the NIT this year.

If he fails to do that again, looks like he probably will.

How can Mike Cragg justify to the fan base bringing him back ?

Maybe someone in the CMA camp that posts on here can logically explain to the rest of us why CMA needs to be retained if he fails to meet the minimum NIT requirement?
There's only one logical reason; his contract. Disclaimer; I'm not in CMA's camp (just in case anyone was wondering)

Monte if the only logical reason is the money owed/buyout , what is the minimum standard for next season ?

We all know what the goal is make the tournament, that should be the goal every year.

But what is the minimum standard for CMA to keep his job, my gut said it was NIT this year, because they were bubble last year for and one could argue they belonged, well than what is the standard for the 23-24 season if CMA is retained ?

What standard can Mike Cragg sell to the fan base?

this reminds me of Fordham keeping Neubuer an extra season, a total disaster. The team is imploding in front of our eyes.

Hahah no I was thinking Xavier model as in fire coach last year even with an nit championship in year 4. Opposed to the Pitt model which was letting Capel stick around even even after a couple worse years than CMA and seeing his success this year.

Ahhh gotcha. Yeah I didn't think Pitt was in the NIT recently but that's exactly your point. Crazy he was given a 5th year, but I guess maybe it was worthwhile? Hopefully St. John's doesn't notice.
