My voice is totally shot this morning. Trying to out scream my kids at the game will do that. :cheer:

One point: if the islanders can reverse years of futility there's hope for the johnnies. They're one of the few teams with a more screwed up recent history.

Horrible drafting killed years of the franchise. Highly paid scouts thought drafting Dean Chynoweth was a smart idea. Meanwhile, LJSA, armed only with a subscription to the Hockey News, knew that Joe Sakic was going to be a star and that size would be overrated when it came to Theoren Fleury. Had they drafted any sort of offense that year, Lafontaine would have been a happy camper.
