I don't think the Rangers get out of the first round this year. I hate the islanders so much and hope they get destroyed by the panthers as well. Flyers-Caps will be fun

Worst thing they did, IMO, was beat Detriot this weekend. Florida would have been a much better matchup.

Not a big hockey enthusiast but I watch a few games leading up to postseason. Isles tanked it to face Florida. Could be a case of be careful what you wish for. Also couldn't care less about Pens/Rangers. Dislike both fan bases and teams

LETS GO RANGERS

They looked good until Lundqvist took a stick to the eye.

I am quietly optimistic for the Stars - if Seguin comes back and is up to speed quickly.

With Henrik the king back in net the Rangers took it to the Pens and won 4-2 yesterday. Series tied at 1-1. It'll be interesting to see what happens. The Rangers have beaten the pens and caps multiple times in the playoffs the last few years. But this is definitely the weakest Rangers team in 5 years, and the strongest Penguins and Capital teams. So if NYR gets past both to the eastern conference finals that'll be impressive.

Excuse me, anyone here? Sorry, if I sound raspy, but my throat is sore from yelling all night watching one amazing playoff hockey game. :cheer:

Let's go Islanders!

Goal! Islander goal! Islander goal! Islander goal! Nothing like overtime playoff hockey!

Fluery supposedly out again. McDonaugh out as well though for game 3. Rangers pull up Diaz.

Game 3 tonight. Let's go rangers

Great win for Islanders but man is old man Jaeger still amazingly strong or what? They couldn't knock him off the puck all night untill one time late when he seemed to get slightly injured. All it took for me to realize he would be a superstar was about 30 seconds first time I saw him as a rookie with Pens and the great Mario. It seemed close to done about what seems like about a decade ago when he was with the Rangers.

Fantastic series. JT is a man amoungst boys. 6-7 players on that isles team absolutely blow and he is carrying them to conference semis along with Greiss who is stepping up.

Tampa is not as good as florida but they actually have a really great home ice atmosphere as opposed to the Panthers who looked like they couldn't sell out for playoff games. Should be another great series.

Bailey, de Haan and Nelson especially bother me. All play like a bunch of flaccid wieners flapping around on the ice

A couple of points:

1. YES!

2. YES!

3. YES!

My voice is totally shot this morning. Trying to out scream my kids at the game will do that. :cheer:

I agree with you on Bailey and Nelson. Bailey should have been the one scratched instead of Strome and Nelson does not use his body at all. They miss Lee's presence in front of the net. Nelson is lucky we won last night because I think he would have been called out for his soft play last, particularly that power play with about 6 min left in regulation. Just gets beat on the boards all the time.

deHaan, I don't agree with. He's not playing up to his draft pick, but he's definitely been a vital defenseman for them. He's not a big dude, but he knows what he's doing. How big were Leddy and Boychuk last night, by the way. Still glowing today.
