What if Ponds, Heron and Simon return. What does our lineup/roster look like?

Point taken. I was watching recording of last night and got excited.

It would look like a national champion. But there's a better chance of losing all three than there is of retaining all three.

It would be amazing, but then you’d wake up

Ponds, No chance - Heron, maybe - Simon, yes

Define what you mean by “no chance” exactly :silly:

Heron's game had to adjust to Ponds being the guy with ball in his hands most of the time. Next year, he would no doubt be featured more, and likely be the only true threat from 3. So there is at least that reason to come back. Ponds is going to earn a nice living somewhere. Another year won't change where that is. It might for Heron.

Yes,can not look past Providence ,we will have all to do to win. Every game from here on we must play at a top level in order to win

With what happened to Trimble with the sprained thumb, we literally have no depth now. Sounds like it isn't too bad which is good, but just really annoys me how Dixon just up and leaves. They really need to reel these kids in and put an end to the nonsense. I know we benefit from transfers, but we also lose a ton too. We start with depth then we have kids jumping ship. You shouldn't be able to transfer during the season IMO. May not be popular, but it's not fair to the team. I'd also like to see our recruiting positively affected by wins like #10 Marquette. We always hear of big wins leading to commitments, but has it ever happened for us? Honestly curious because I don't recall any.

I agree usgaurd. Providence has lost three in a row now and they will come in hungry for a win. It will be a dog fight. Providence is bound to break out of this funk eventually. But, even if they break out against us and put together a very well played game I still think that we are just a better team than they are. If they play their best and we play ours we win. They're starting three freshman now, at least they did last night. Are guys are experienced and we are home. Good teams protect home court. A good Big East team should be able to go 7-2 at home. Important that we hold home court from here on in.

I'm just going to enjoy this year. It's a flawed team, but fun to watch and Ponds is great. Just counting the wins hoping we get to the Tourney. 5 more BE wins and I think we are in for sure.

It's scary but we're probably one serious injury away from the season being over.

Sorry, respectfully, I don’t understand the need for such a post (one injury away from season over). One could say this in many contexts, including outside of college basketballl. I could get hit by a car this afternoon, but negative thought that does not do me any good.
