I used to have to walk my younger daughter in a carriage after midnight in Oakland to make her fall asleep. Until my wife realized I was walking around Oakland late at night with a baby and freaked out on me. So it turned into me driving around the nearby (and much safer) city of Alameda for an hour to make her fall asleep, She's going to be 9 in April . . . and she's still a pain in the ass.
