How did they celebrate Alonso’s “record” tonight?
I’m sure we will do big firework show for Cal Raleigh’s 50th HR which I’m assuming he will hit by the time they leave queens
This is the bullpen David Stearns’ built. They seemed to be the right moves at the time but this is a SPECTACULAR failure. Titanic like in fact. I don’t want to hear about the “little” moves blah blah blah. What is wrong with our talent evaluation?
This year is fast becoming a lost cause and a waste. It’s also big problems and a black mark for everyone involved in this $300m plus disaster. If this team doesn’t find something soon and we’ve seen nothing to suggest we will, major changes should be considered. Why would Mendoza survive? He’s a nice guy? What about Hefner? Why is he so “respected” ? Results just aren’t there. Bigger issue is our “organizational “ philosophy of not signing SP to long term deals. Hitting coaches? Do we even employ them?
Finally, what about the “core” of this team. Lindor? He disappeared. Soto? He ain’t going anywhere with that contract. Alonso? Is he really the problem? Nimmo is just maddening. We feel kind of leaderless and dare I say gutless. Fans seem more upset than players. They still get paid I suppose.

In game bench reaction to pitchers falling apart seems to be a particular weakness. Always a walk too late.
Got about as good a start from McLean as we could’ve asked for. But we only lead 1-0 and haven’t held onto a lead in what feels like months

Fun day today at Citified . Juan Soto bobblehead day and he got a hit and an RBI.. Great pitching from McClean and Soto and Diaz closed it out. Alonso with 100 RBI. Lindor first shortstop to have five 20/20 seasonsz
