That was the name of the Football Intramural Team I played on at St. John’s which won two championships.

Back in the late 60’s the varsity baseball team always fielded an intramural football squad named Crimson Tide. They won every year. My senior year, my team(mostly Molloy grads) decided to get serious and changed our name from F Troop to Intensified Tide, brazenly stolen from the detergent’s commercials. We almost beat the hated Crimsons but were stopped on downs going for the winning TD late in the game. Celebrated the moral victory at Poor Richard’s Pub afterwards.
