*New 2017 US News Best College Ranks SJU number ..

Do you remember the ad where SJU boasted about some ranking of being one of the top 365 or so colleges in the US?

Boasting about being included in the top 365 schools is setting the bar pretty low.

Does the Admin realize how bad it looks? Do they care? Has ANYTHING been put in place to correct it? Is there a plan????

"Norean R. Sharpe, Ph.D., began her tenure as Dean and Professor of Decision Sciences at The Peter J. Tobin College of Business on August 1, 2016....

....Sharpe has been a scholar and administrator for more than 25 years. Prior to joining St. John’s, she served as Senior Associate Dean at the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. Under her leadership, the undergraduate business program experienced a 35 percent jump in applications; a significant increase in average verbal and math SAT scores; a drop in the acceptance rate from 24 to 16 percent; and a 5 percent rise in yield—placing McDonough in the top-tier of all undergraduate business schools in the United States."

On paper this is a great hire, but how could you give credit to the associate dean for all of that, and how long was she there that the acceptance rate dropped from 24 to 16%. Maybe our rate will drop from "do you have a high school diploma?" to "do you know your abc's?" Just kidding.
