(NCAA-WEST/Providence) #10 Arkansas, Sat., Mar. 22, 2:40p, CBS

I have been nothing but consistent. If you want to tickle an old man’s balls that’s on you.
You glaze Hallowsy all you want I’m sure he’ll finish on you like Lex Steele. Fans like you are reason the last 25 years have been less than mediocre. I was sad 2 hours ago now I’m just pissed seeing a clown 🤡 like you!
That’s enough. Keep it civil or take it to private messages.

Man it was a one possession game under 3 minutes against a SEC team who was ranked 16th to start the season. We didn’t lose to St. Peter’s or Florida Golf coast.
Man it shouldn't have been a one possession game under 3 minutes to go. We lost as a 2 seed and a top 5 rated team to a 13 loss team, pause and let that sink in, which couldn't shoot fouls, 2 point shots, three point shots and who couldn't defend our own basket. Think about that.

A 5 ish point favorite lost a basketball game.

Then a loss to a 10 seed shouldn’t be all that shocking. Disappointing yes, but stuff happens.
What stuff? The inability to put the ball in the basket in all facets of the game and which couldn't defend our own basket as the number 1 rated defense in the country.

Not to belabor the stats, but without zubys the rest of the team shot like 20%. Shit happens sometimes. Fact is that nobody was making shots. It was a perfect storm of shit.

The team missed so many layups and some crucial free throws. That coupled with our anchor only playing 16 minutes, we'll, it would have been a miracle if they somehow pulled this one off.

This team gave us so much joy this year. I can't be mad at them for this. I'm sad for them that their season had to end on a downer like this. Cheers to them for the joy they brought me this year. And cheers to Rick for orchestrating all of this.

Games aren’t played on paper. Arkansas was the better team TODAY. Pure and simple. I’ve seen hundreds of games like this when the better team on paper has lost.

Not when you're a 2 seed against a 10 seed.
Arkansas was a very under seeded 10 seed. They had injuries all year and are finally getting healthy. If they were healthy all year they would have been a 3 or 4 seed. The Selection Committee knew this and that’s why they gave us the last two seed and then Arkansas/ Kansas winner. They had no respect for what we accomplished this season and thought the Big East performed poorly OOC.

Of the hundreds of games you've seen when the better team lost, how many of these teams played as badly as we did today?

It was an amazing season made more special because I got to experience it by going to every MSG game with my 13 year-old son. I have been waiting since 2000 for a St. John's team this good. I am so grateful it happened again.

Going into this game, Kenpom had us at 72% to win. 28% things happen all the time. The negativity and nastiness by some people here over a 28% chance thing happening is shocking to me. Mathematically illiterate morons.
