As much as I despise the majority of the SEC, and Florida in particular (I have always liked Tennessee however), I can in no way ever root for Duke.

You and I disagree on Duke. Have a very positive personal experience with my youngest daughter with Duke and all I can say is they are a class organization to deal with

Congrats - I have told the two of my kids who applied to Duke that I hoped they got in, and I would always root for them but that I would never root for their school's teams. (The caveat is unless they play Syracuse.).

Duke is like ND, you are either with em or against em.

Anyway this is an excellent game - if Houston can keep it close by actually making some shots I think they can wear Duke down and win late. St John's basketball with better offense.

Aging myself, but Clayton reminds me of Walt Frazier, not a guy w great speed, but takes his time, savvy & obviously a shooter & scorer. Awesome feel for the game like Walt.

Congrats - I have told the two of my kids who applied to Duke that I hoped they got in, and I would always root for them but that I would never root for their school's teams. (The caveat is unless they play Syracuse.).

Duke is like ND, you are either with em or against em.

My youngest who is way smarter than her Dad went to a Duke weekend competition for a law school scholarship which she wound up getting. But being a New Jerseyan by birth she wanted Columbia which she wound up getting. When she responded to Duke that she was going north they were incredibly gracious and wished her the best of luck which we have never forgotten. I will never think badly of the Blue Devils because of that.

Scheyer did a nice job getting his team ready for this game. After the initial onslaught they have really done a great job of matching Houston's intensity, which is hard to do. And he stole minutes from his bench to try to avoid getting work down late.

Houston has come back with a little run here but it is a fair fight. Really entertaining game.
