NBA Draft 2025

RJ is now apparently in Miami, I assume this is not NBA combine related? Or maybe it is NBA related....

RJ Luis could be in Miami for a workout with the Heat, but there are 2 reasons I’m not confident about that conclusion:

1. Pat Riley and other Heat brass are in Los Angeles today for Klutch Sports Pro Day. (Jonathan Givony has a series of social media posts about this.)

2. Trinton Breeze, who posted the above image, is a contributor for Canes Insight, a message board for fans of the University of Miami.

Unless Luis has decided to withdraw from the draft, it’s unlikely that he’s doing portal stuff just yet. My guess is that he’s just doing private work not specific to the pros or college.

Great connecting dots

And now, to get back on topic, here is the USA Today AI-generated mock draft. What will they think of next, AI generated basketball players? Oh wait they already did - Wemby!

Hmmm....Alex Karaban announced his return to UConn almost a month ago. Nice example of AI hallucination.

oh great here comes another tangent. 🤣

Most interesting player in the draft for me is Walter Clayton. I think he could go anywhere from 12 to 30 from what I've seen. And it wouldn't surprise me if there are a lot of trades and he's involved in one of them.

Hoping Kalk stays in the first round. And curious who will take a flyer on Sorber.

This thread is about the NBA Draft.
Please try to stay on that subject. Talk unrelated to the NBA Draft belongs elsewhere.

I think he has a shot to get foot in door in today's NBA because some teams are so bloated with contracts that they need bench pieces on the cheap. Hero ball as a bench player will get you cut though, so needs to fully squash those tendencies.

I still think he should have taken the guaranteed $3m from someone in college though and tried NBA next season though.
