For the players at the draft with their families this has got to be agonizing and just get eorse and worse as the draft wraps up. Considering one of our guys worked out for 18 teams, thought he did well in each, some of those are already done with the draft.

Seems like a waste of a pick for the Knicks, but there aren't a ton of good options there. I like Grant Nelson but the league doesn't and they do this for a living. Goldin wouldn't add much. No thank you to Dixon. The Australian kid might have been an option. But you have to have someone on the bench, I guess.

Edit - did not realize Will Richard is in the draft. I'd take a flyer on that kid, he's a winner. Probably goes undrafted but I bet he latches on

That is irrelevant because the draft has nothing to do with how a team finished in their conference. Coach Pitino molded a "team" of good players into a great team. There are likely a couple of hundred good players eligible around the world every draft but NBA scouts look for players with consistent scoring percentages and needs for their individual teams. There are very fine lines between certain players in the second round. Some will eventually outperform players drafted in the first round.

I would use the term " potential " NBA picks. We may have 4 potential "professional" players but professional basketball now encompasses 4 continents of teams that would be considered 2nd division to the NBA premiere league.
