National Championship Game

I thought the Cal interview just now was real good and he was pretty candid and honest

Agreed. I wonder if Calipari takes the Lakers job. (Latest twitter rumor!)

Rex chapman tweeted it before the game started. The lakers denied it.

Anyone else outraged by the Calipari interview? He just gave no credit to UConn. It was all..we could have won. What a tool.
No because he took the blame off his players and placed it on himself which we have never seen at least our last 2 head coaches do and maybe even further back than that.

I was in Dallas for the Final 4 but due to work obligations, I couldn't stay through for the Championship game tonight....I am so glad I didn't waste the vacation days!....2 of my most despised programs playing tonight....ugh....

On a side note, if you haven't been to a Final 4, I would put it on your bucket list......It's really a lot of fun.....

Kind of like Stalin vs Hitler

Basketball or Ukraine?

Anybody remember back in the day when Tim Floyd was at USC and he offered a scholarship to an 8th grader, and everyone busted his balls about it?
That was Boatright. Looks like a good move now.

A buddy I work with heard it on Dan Patrick's show this morning. BUt it was definitely Boatright.
I think King committed really early too though. I think he verbaled to UCLA before he ended up at Duke, then Nova, then i don't where.

"Boatright was a curious case: USC coach Tim Floyd offered him a scholarship in eighth grade, even though Boatright was only 5-ft., 9-in., and 138 lbs. "

That's where Lavin is now! Scouting the parochial schools in Manhattan, especially my Alma Mater, Our Lady Queen of Angels in East Harlem! :) ;)

My son, who lives in Dallas, is at the game tonight. He's rooting for Pukon. But he texted me that he saw a couple at the game wearing St. John's gear. I told him he should have asked them who they were. :)

Wasn't me! Although I could have gone if I had paid face value... I have been to JerryWorld many times and the idea of watching a basketball game there does not get me excited.

I took my son and one of friends to BracketTown on Sunday at the Dallas Convention Center and rubbed shoulders with Bill Raftery and Dick Vitale. My son wanted to know who those old farts were... Place was over-run with KY fans. Met a few UConn fans and we talked about the good old days, which are rapidly becoming a distant memory.
