MSG

Perhaps before we do a make over we should wait a couple of yrs and when we are a national power do it right . Bigger and better If the students come out than it warrants more seating and modernize

You mean carnesecca arena? It's already been renovated. You can only do so much to shine a turd. But I agree next step is a total teardown.

The only way, and I mean ONLY way that we will build a new on campus arena in the next 20 years is if a single donor steps up to finance at least 50% of it, and the rest is fully funded by others. With a more accessible arena (MSG) my guess is SJU sees no need to build an on campus arena larger than they have now.

Driving through Flushing Meadows one becomes aware that there will soon be a domed stadium within ten minutes of campus with great subway access and loads of parking, the one named for Arthur Ashe. I wonder if there is a possibility that it could work for basketball when it's cold outside.

You mean the announced 30 million dollar renovation that resulted in a 5 million dollar renovation (and even that amount seems dubious). Wonder where the other 25 mill went, Father Harrington?

That'd be interesting to do once in a while.

The current building does not have heat. I do not know if the dome project includes adding any sort of Heating or A/C. I am sure they will have to add a Ventilation system due to code requirements.

No heat sounds pretty nice.
