I read an article today that Georgetown is holding a contest to design their new court at the verizon center.

If it appears we are starting to act big time why do we not invest in our own court for MSG. It bothers me playing on an orange court when we play Syracuse or have to play with a Knicks symbol because they have a game later in the evening or have to play with two three point lines. A lot of other schools who play in Pro Arenas have their own court I think it is time we try to do that as well.

Isn't it amazing that Lavin was the supposed guy with media experience and Mullin is showing up everywhere drumming up interest in our program and saying hello to NYC again. Here's a guy who clearly wants to be home, and he's appears as happy in the streets at a ball game, or at MSG, or a HS gym, or being seen around town as he is in the gym shooting jumpers. Kudos to SJU media department or whomever is assisting him setting up these gigs.

And wonder who is playing? I disagree, you want it to be st. John's front and center. Put the knicks emblem somewhere else and smaller if you want and I wouldn't mind.

Unless the Knicks are playing on the same day they already put our logo at center court, which is perfectly fine. No need to have our own floor and lose the MSG brand recognition.

Don't really mind the court at MSG being Knicks colors. Would like to see a new shiny floor at CA. But what i would really like to see is a wrapped bus for the team. Georgetown has one, would love to see one in red with the city skyline, instead of the green peter pan buses. Our team rides the bus to a lot of games for conference and here in NYC to msg and barclays. It would be a great marketing tool as well.

Yes but shouldnt the goal be to have SJU as the recognizable msg brand?

Very good suggestion. Buses like this are a travelling billboard. We should have one.

Let's be realistic, the Knicks will always be the Garden's primary basketball tenant no matter how bad they are.

I would think that the CA court will be re-done soon. It is still in the Black and Red color scheme and the University spent a lot to convert back to the blue and red colors and new university logo. I think they are waiting to complete the UA re-branding and see if a new Athletic Logo(if you remember that survey a few years ago, a new logo was discussed) is coming too. Once a decision on the logo is made, I think the court will follow soon.

I'm pretty sure the survey results came back with the winner being the current logo.

I remember taking the survey and not really liking any of the other choices for the new logo. Hopefully they come up with some more designs and have a new survey.
