MSG/ACC
I love that UConn is suffering with their choices. However it is time to bring them in and have a huge exit fee for them if they jump ship.

The ACC is ridiculous and I really hope there are some major scandals coming out of that conference to knock them down a peg.

MSG could very well do an alternating schedule and have both the ACC and Big East having their conference at MSG at the same time. One conference having games Tue, Thurs, Sat (championship) and the other doing Wed, Fri, Sunday (championship)
Uconn with Hurley will make us 2nd class citizens in our own city. I will root for them to do bad .....very bad! Of course if slick Rick Pitino wants to get back in the game we would be able to compete for recruits. ;) :p

MSG holding two tourneys at the same time works. I think it would turn NYC onto college hoops with fans filling in the seats that the school alums leave open. They should let the BE have priority and keep the Saturday night championship. I agree that it is all about the money - this would be be a money maker.

I don't see Uconn factoring into this as the BE now sells out without them. I would give the Big Ten the first chance to play second fiddle to the BE in sharing the Garden during Championship week.

I agree '72. Best thing the BEC can do is to keep winning big to 'nationalize' its brand--like the ACC and the SEC have done, be a deep league, with no patsies, and we wouldn't 'need' UCONN, to be the premier post-season college hoops
event in NYC, period.
Which is why it'd be timely if St. John's, G*Town, and DePaul revive their programs, with the rest of the conference staying strong.
