Moe Harkless Possibly a Knick

If true, Harkless and a 1st round pick for Morris - who was gone after this year - actually not a bad move by the Knicks.

Gives us a reason to watch, if nothing else.

@wojespn

The Clippers, Knicks and Wizards have agreed to a three-team trade that will land Marcus Morris and Isaiah Thomas with the Clippers, league sources tell ESPN. Jerome Robinson will join the Wizards, Moe Harkless and a 2020 first-round pick to the Knicks.

At this point Knicks just need to accumulate draft picks and getting Moe in the deal is a great bonus for us! Love Marcus Morris but love this deal more!

Hope it’s a good and healthy situation for Moe.

Players going back to their hometown can often be a toxic environment sometimes people feel they are owed money when they aren’t.

Praying for Moe and hope it’s all a positive experience it’ll be nice to see him back at msg

Very happy to see Moe as a Knick. I hope it's a great success.

Most of those people, who experience that, were head cases to begin with, though.

Harkless has never shown himself to be that. Not in his 1 year here, nor in his time in the NBA (hard to believe, but it's his 8th season, already).

Harkless is on an expiring 4yr/$40 million contract. He will only be 27 at the start of next season and has had successful career for a primarily defensive player having already made over $50 million dollars.

And to think, I (along with many others here) thought that he was making a huge mistake in coming out early. It seems to have worked out well for Moe.

Welcome home Mo!!!!

According to the Post, besides Mo, the Knicks get a 2020 first-rounder, a 2021 second - rounder (via the Pistons), the right to swap first-round picks with the Clippers in 2021 and rights to Issuf Sanon, a second-round pick in 2018 who plays in Ukraine.

And of course they can sign Mo or Morris at the end of the year as they are both free-agents.

Nice to see one of our own come home.

Also, this is a good deal for the Knicks seven number one picks in the next 4 years. Now they better find someone who knows what they are doing to capitalize on those picks. :unsure: :unsure:

Man, don't I wish some of those guys were wearing our colors this year.
