Mike Repole / Ed Kull / Fordham Video

That abbreviation after his name means he’s a friend of the program. No?

Wouldn't disagree.

As you know, he has been friends with Ed for a long time and Ed once worked at Vitamin Water

I thought "frnd" meant former redstorm newfacility donor

MR should just swallow his pride, apologize to Cragg and introduce himself to Shanley, and help build a champion here.   Kull might be an old buddy, but Fordham is not dancing anytime this century.

Ed was in Institutional Development (Fundraising)

Left SJU after not being treated well (I will not get into details) and eventually found his way to Fordham.

Agree, Ed is a good guy. He may have been thrown into too big of a role than he was ready at the time at SJU.

Also agree about Repole. He was wrong to publicly knock down Cragg and SJU the way he did. If he wants to be part of the program he should reach out and make amends.

Vinny Viola has a higher net worth than Repole. Wow. He was nominated by Trump to become Secretary of the Army (He withdrew). Money guy from Wall Street after going to West Point. Now good friends with Repole. He's a horse guy too and owns the Florida Panthers NHL.

Repole mentions his 3 year old daughter maybe going to Fordham, let's hope he comes back to the fold.

I don't Vinny Viola is related to our Frank Viola.

Nothing really direct.  He's friends with Repole and they done some business together.

FWIW......Repole has never been critical of Cragg.

This is the part of the thread I don't understand.  Repole's interview on Francessa was all about praising Cragg.  He seemingly loves Cragg.  He killed Bobby G, Bobby O and others involved in administration.  But was adamant in his praise for Cragg and certain others (like the dean of the law school).

Facts. And many of the old guard on here were crying and whining about Repole's rant and essentially saying we don't need him/are fine without him. Now those same people are upset he appears to be supporting Kull and Fordham, and still want Mike to apologize, "swallow his pride" and come back here? LOL! C'mon now. Get a grip. Sleep in the bed you made - when you implied we did not need him and he was "inappropriate" - pride's a good thing.

Couldn't disagree more with you.   SJU did nothing wrong.  Your post is just a case of someone very far from the situation who knows nothing about what unfolded.

Personally, I could not care less if Repole never showed his face again.   But with SJU, we don't have a lot of money flowing into the athletic department from fans, and Repole has the potential to be a major donor.   There aren't a lot of super wealthy individuals supporting our department, so the school needs guys like that to realize its AD goals.

Not sure they have done business but apparently are in the same horse racing circles and have become close friends.   Viola is also a sports nut, and owns the Florida Panthers hockey team.     I think they are similar personalities with similar family backrounds and obviously very wealthy.    It was an interesting interview.

Horse Racing is the business I meant.
Both were co-owners of Dynamic One in the Derby last week

That's a stretch. Repole was scathingly critical of the head coach search. That search was being conducted by Cragg.
Yes, he was explicitly harsh on Bobby G and Bobby O, but he scorched earth the whole program, the University, and Cragg.
