Owens, Yakwe, and Sima combined for 9 boards. Damn those guys are soft.
Owens, Sima and Yakwe 3 of 15 for 11pnts, what do they give us besides the block shots?
All 3 have college experience too, so can't say they're just lea the college game

They have a ton of experience those 3, lets spell it out.
Sima played a good part of his freshman season prior to getting hurt.
Yakwe played a good part of his freshman season after the NCAA permitted him to play.
Owens barely played as a freshman at Tennessee.
Oh yah this trio have a ton of college experience and should have completely dominated Bridges who may be the first pick in the draft in 2017 and Ward.

Great college player. Where is he playing in the pros? Undersized 4 can't play three in NBA. No knock on him especially at this level, just don't see it translating. As a great pro just so we are clear.

Last two Mich St stars were undersized combo forwards. One is a rookie and the other an all star. Think he chose the right school.

I think Owens is the best of the three big men at this point. The problem is he cant stay on the court.

From the I told you so files.... Jones would be our best big. Just saying

Look, he wasn't that good . At best he would help off the bench. We need big bodies that can change and or effect the outcome of games Which we do not have this yr Next yr we will .
I get nervous thinking we may not do well in conference Better yes but that could mean just closer games not necessarily wins

Dom really didn't really contribute that much as a sophomore. DJ didn't look like a guy that could make a NBA roster early in his sophomore season. Yet some here see Yakwe as a disappointment, and Sima, too. Both haven't played a full season of games yet. But there are posters still having withdrawal pains over losing Jones based on his output in one or 2 games in his senior season. What I remember is Jones making a few baskets, and then turning the ball over on 3 straight possessions. Yakwe can't shoot and needs schooling on footwork and post moves. But he is young and can jump to the moon from a standing start. Sure it's frustrating to watch our bigs being outplayed, but Yakwe and Sima need more time, more coaching, and more physical maturity. Raw big men need to be coached up. Not sure who on the staff is doing that. I expect that the frustration of the fan base may be headed in the direction of the coaching staff if the bigs don't develop. Especially if they are perceived as coach-able types.

Didn't look like Mullin was doing the talking at timeouts.

Yeah that shot for RF looked weird. Not same form he used on his other misses in previous games. I can't comment on his makes because I have not seen one yet.
I might rotate Sima and Owns and have Yakwe play 30 just to see if he can get going. Of the 3 he has best chance of playing better.
