For people in the city, that's upstate. Although I did map it out, but since I confirmed it is a Friday night in the summer and living in Hampton Bays, or even Queens, that was a non-starter.
It's upstate, although not THAT far upstate. I couldn't go last year (or this year because of conflicts), but I know a bunch of people who went with their kids last year. It's a great atmosphere at that place. Cheap, good place to watch a game and plenty of stuff to do with the kids if they get bored of the game (also lots of interactive stuff with the kids that goes on during the game). If you are able to go, you won't be disappointed.For people in the city, that's upstate. I know it's not far, just playing with the stereotype of city people thinking anything north of New Rochelle is upstate. I'm even venturing to Pelham for the Johnnies golf outing on Monday.

Not at all. Brooklyn born, then Sunnyside, now Forest Hills. And occasionally Hampton Bays.
To clarify: Anything north of Yankee Stadium is upstate. I could be persuaded that it's Fordham Road, but that's the maximum northern limit. After that it's tumbleweeds.

Kind of like Long Island which to a Queens boy was always the sticks lol.
LMF, Brooklynites who move to Jersey do refer to their locale as exits on either the Parkway or Turnpike, but they also quote our Boss over here:

Brooklyn born like you FS65, then Bergen County, now Passaic County, New Jersey. And occasionally Stone Harbor (Cape May County).
Keeping it on topic, the Boulders play in Rockland County, and everyone's been mentioning different Counties!
