I like Ponds running the offense better than lovett as I think he is a better passer and, varies his moves more than Marcus. Ponds will stop and put up a floater and that keeps the defenses guessing. I also think Ponds doesn't get enough touches if Lovett runs the offense. Ellison, also doesn't give it up enough, even though he accumulates more assists.

If I were Mullin, I would think about alternating who runs the offense on every play. That would further put pressure on the defense. Just my theory. I trust in Mullin completely and, we are just a few Frontcourt Players from becoming a top half contender in the BE next year.

Lovett only knows one speed, full speed.

And fwiw they did seem to have Ponds running the point early and often in the last game. They are both really good passers IMO, and just like they go about their scoring in a different way, they do the same with distribution. Also, getting stops will help get Ponds more looks as a lead guard, taking it out of the basket forces our offense to be contrived and less likely to lead to ponds bringing it up.
 
Luke Fisher the Indiana transfer will be very difficult for us to guard. This is a bad match up for St. John's.

If he gets his points but we shut down their other scorers we might be okay.

I worry about this game mostly because of Fisher.

I am at the Garden and noticing that there is around 1,000 spectators in the upper deck. With plenty of seats in the lower bowl, why even open the upper deck. Am I missing something?
