Marquette, Wed. Feb. 1, 7pm, FS2/570AM

These guys really don't have a bad loss....yet.

I want 7 B.E. wins, would be a nice improvement from last years one..

we need three of these four.
Marq 1-3 on the road in the B.R
PC 2-4
SHU 0-4
G-Town 0-3

Lets beat Marq

I'll settle for two as long as we win the BET.

This is a big game for Marquette. Lunardi currently has them as a #8 seed in the NCAA tournament, but they've just lost to Providence and I would think must go at least 50-50 in their remaining games.

Correct. Unfortunately something has gotten into GT lately, but I think we beat Providence again, get some revenge on the Hoyas, and then we need either Marquette or the Hall. Hopefully we get Marquette out of the way tomorrow, that would make the road to 7 a lot easier.

I watched several of the Marquette's games, really impressed with another excellent freshmen point guard, Howard. He and Rowsey can hit those three pointers. Howard with 51% and Rowsey at 47%. Their not bad foul shooters either, both are at 95%. They have six guys averaging double figures. The one guy's game I like is Jaquan Johnson, really athletic. Haven't been impressed with Cheatham this year, play him to his left. As you know Fischer and Bauser will do the boarding. We win this one tomorrow.

Full disclosure.....at one point I would have been happy to have Woj as our coach. Now, I am so glad he is not. #Lunatic

Luke Fisher will be a tough assignment for us. He is sometime impressive. A few polished post moves.

`After Sumner went out with his Season ending injury on Sunday, both Ponds and Lovett went to the hoop much more forcefully than they had all game. they had stopped doing that as aggressively as in previous games. There are few BE guards that can stop their speed to the basket, if they get screens and lose the defender.

I like Ponds running the offense better than lovett as I think he is a better passer and, varies his moves more than Marcus. Ponds will stop and put up a floater and that keeps the defenses guessing. I also think Ponds doesn't get enough touches if Lovett runs the offense. Ellison, also doesn't give it up enough, even though he accumulates more assists.

If I were Mullin, I would think about alternating who runs the offense on every play. That would further put pressure on the defense. Just my theory. I trust in Mullin completely and, we are just a few Frontcourt Players from becoming a top half contender in the BE next year.
