Marquette, Sun. Jan. 24, 3:45pm, 970AM-TV Delayed

The rest of the team is shooting 9/29. Ellison is not our only problem.

Who said he was?

As far as singling out Ellison, IMO he only plays hard when he has the ball. Lazy on D, loose balls, etc.
Who cares if he has loose balls?

Hmm, we just lost a one possession game, so why should loose balls matter? Let me think.........I won't delete, I finally got it and you nailed me :p

Nice of school to offer refund or exchange for unused tickets for today's game. For those of you that used your ticket, hold on to it as the school just announced they will be providing you with 10 free psychiatric sessions and a free one years supply of psychotropic medication. :)

I watched Ellison against so carolina. He tightens up when he shoots and he does seem lazy on the court. But he is a freshman and we have too many of them.

Effort there again, same result. Team had no quit

Losing stinks. But glad to see some positive aspects and positive posts. From what I recall during his press-conference, Chris Mullin promised a well- conditioned and hard working team. Ws and Ls were never mentioned.

When this staff gets talent, well...as you say Logen and others, we will still have no quit AND eventually we will have Ws! and IMHO, lots of them!

In the mean time we put our hopes and dreams on hold Til the Fall...and endure
all the best

I always appreciate your positive approach and upbeat posts. But we are possibly going to be 0-18 in the Big East.

That's really, really, really bad no matter how much we are all looking to next year.

Does anyone know who, if anyone, has ever gone winless in our conference?

at least the kids didn't give up and we covered the spread

1 day closer to next season

Team played hard. Shooting just 34% won't get it done. Looking forward to seeing Rico play off the ball next year. He can fill it up.

He's too young to have loose balls
It's a very different story at my age

And mine, so much so, I didn't even get the joke until after I had already taken it seriously

Yea Miami when they came in the league 0 and 18 and then 1 and 17 the next year

You very well may be right but should we just keep posting "we stink"? By and large I respect this team, players and coaches alike. It's hard to keep playing when you are so outmanned game after game and even down 20 the effort was there. The talent is obviously not so IMO you have to look elsewhere for satisfaction or not look at all; I can watch the news if I just want to get depressed

Watching the game now. I must say that Wojo's act would get very old here at SJU. I suspect it will not play well at MU long-term. He had better win in a bigger way, or he will not be there for too long

Totally agree. Especially after the Marquette dunks then time outs. He practically tackles the players coming to the huddle. (In celebration)

Hands down the worst coach in the league.

I'm just hoping that the team is able to sneak a win or 2 over the next month. What does concern me is I'm not really seeing the kids get better. They are working awfully hard out there and there's no quit in them. But I'm still seeing the young guys make the same mistakes game in and game out. I didn't expect many wins this season, but I was hoping to see our freshmen get better as the season wore on. And thus far, I'm just not seeing it.
