Marquette game

I got a bad feeling about this game today. Flashing back to the game where we scored 10 points or something like that in the first half. Could that have been a first round Big east tourney game? i think Norm only got us to one tourney game, maybe that was the year. Anyway i could picture us replicating a 10 point half in todays game

what the heck....we got 14 and counting with the lead...
looks like we'll stay with them for a half anyway...

Playing "well" so far. I'd like to see more inside out play to free up Marco. That's one thing I've NEVER seen from this team.

Nice start, yay! No fights, ejections, suspensions! Where's the SJU drama?

Be nice to win this one and get the rid of the taste of the ND game... as well as a little momentum going into the BE tourney.

Man, if games were decided based on blocked shots we would be contenders for the Final Four.

We miss so many easy baskets, open looks... we are not a good shooting team at all. Frenchie is cold today.

I was about to say the same. We're getting quite a bit of open looks, but we're clanking 'em (especially, Bourgault).

He's been cold for a while. He's not getting open looks. We get so few open looks its disgusting. Notice that when this team does get open looks we have players that can hit the shot. No inside out play at all.

It fell apart in the second half against ND. Interesting to see how we handle the second half this time around. Marquette has been so unimpressive so far

Marquette expected to win by 20 so they had no intenity for 15 minutes. The only gained in the last 8 when went
into the desert on offense.
But Marco's shots were mostly somewhat rushed and reasonably well guarded ...we had no inside game once Sampson and O were sidelined.
Compared to what I expected, three points down is ok...might be a motivator for us and a reinforcement of complacency for them.

Seems like the same is happening today. Suddenly, we're down by 12.

Garbage. No inside out game whatsoever. Not saying we ever have an inside out game...because we don't. We don't have the shooters to play around the perimeter nor do we have NBA size and skill to play that type of game. OK I'm done beating this dead horse.

I like Jones' play today but that's about all :)
