Mark Jackson - Finalist for Sacremento Kings Job

I think one of the things hurting Mark at this time is that he has never apologized for his behavior. You have to own your mistakes. You can't Preach Church on Sunday after hanging out with Strippers on Saturday night, without being viewed as a hypocrite. God knows, I have made many mistakes in my lifetime, but as I owned them, people were able to accept me for who I am today.

If Mark eventually admits to his mistakes, someone may trust him enough to give him another opportunity to coach in the League.

Of the three heralded guards coming out of NYC the year of his graduation, Jackson, the least heralded had the best long term career in the game. Great guy as well.
There were four great guards in that high school class, Pearl Washington, Kenny Smith, Mark Jackson and Kenny Hutchinson, who played at Arkansas. A lot of people who saw them throughout their high school careers believe that Kenny Hutchinson had the most potential. Unfortunately, personal issues derailed his career after high school.

I don't want to necessarily put Panther on the spot since people know who he is, but for anyone here who may know Jackson, what were your impressions? Because I've heard from a couple of people who had to deal with him during his coaching career out here that he's an obnoxious jerk. Maybe that unfairly painted how I feel about him, but most of the time I get the impression that Van Gundy is the only person who likes him.

You're right, I forgot about Kenny, Which I guess was cause that we didn't hear much from him after HS. Man what a class of guards, cant recall another NYC class even close.

Never having had a chance to see Omar in the same backcourt as Marcus Hatten still creates a sense of loss. Perhaps Posh/Belo will finally fill the void.
