Great idea. Just doing some quick math, it does appear that dropping a million or two to solidify a top 10/25 team would be worthwhile for MSG. We saw just a couple weeks ago that we added the Seton Hall game for instance. If that game is 75% full and the average customer pays $75 (tickets, food/drinks, etc.), then that's over a million in revenue right there. I may be too conservative in that guess, too. Not factoring in expenses, but clearly will be in the green otherwise the game wouldn't be played there.
Add a few more games, sell out games like Creighton that before never were close to sell outs... and yeah this could work (as long as it's allowed of course).
