Lol, i posted first but everybody responds to Paultz. Life is not fair.

As Moose noted to me earlier, SJ staff will certainly hope he returns, but are vulnerable in event he leaves re: recruiting a solid replacement. Quality grad transfers and 20 kids of consequence will likely be gone soon, but what can you do.

Very smart. He will get the answers he probably doesn’t want and likely will be back. I can’t see how it’s favorable for him in these conditions.

If it's a choice between the NBA or returning to St John's, I'd expect him back
If playing overseas is appealing to LJ, I'd wish him well and expect him to leave
He turned 22 today. I wonder if his age will be a factor in his decision

Before this season I really thought LJ was a legitimate NBA prospect.
After the season a fair evaluator would say he is headed for the undrafted NBA development league. Too many games he just disappeared. Shot selection was iffy and shot itself was inconsistent. Defense will be a problem at next level.
No matter what he decides I wish him the best of luck. He has represented St. John’s well. By all accounts he is a good kid.

Hahahahahahahahaha. Welcome back LJ![/quote]

You guys need to relax, for some of these guys school just isn't for them. Let it play out.

I'm thinking (and hoping), he'll be back.

Just get the feedback on where to improve game, enjoy the experience and build upon it for senior year. Like a Bashir Ahmed.

I’m indifferent if he returns. If he does, so be it. If not, I wish him well. His decision to stay was important for the program and evidenced character.

Not to get off topic but the other day I watched the SJU win replay over Duke and Bashir had a good game. So I wondered what he was doing. Apparently, he was/is still playing in Croatia. At least when we play sports nowadays.

Alex Arias, LJ Figueroa's advisor: “St. John’s, LJ’s family and LJ all are on the same page. Everyone’s in it for LJ to succeed, and the door is open for him to come back for his senior year. They have been very, very patience during this process." #sjubb

Normally I think LJ would most likely be headed overseas. But with things being as they are now, another year in school till the dust settles on this virus would seem to me to be a better option. I would say that if it were own kid. Regardless I wish LJ the best in whatever he decides to do.
