LJ Figueroa NY Post Piece

So ,you are saying if PONDS DOES NOT COME BACK WE WILL FINISH NEXT TO LAST in THE BIG EAST or did we forget with PONDS THAT IS WHERE WE FINISHED wHAT i am saying we as a team can not solely depend on one player that is why we recruited talent guards With out PONDS WE MOVE UP

Solo 9th is a move up. Team finished T-9th last year. Even without Ponds 8th could be in play and 7th a long shot. Progress.

Realistic dude.
Keeping Richmond for another entire year is negative and miserable?

How come nobody in the constantly whining Group , ever comments on the fact that Richmond likely contributes a great deal to the Player’s currently on the Rosters in their individual Skills development ? Clarke certainly began showing a lot more as the Season wore Down as did Simon . Their movement to the Basket , Shooting and getting open really shined . And , please don’t throw Yakwe into this discussion . Consensus on Him was there wasn’t much to work on with , in terms of catching the basketball, knowing what to do with it, if he did catch it and knowing there is more to Defense than just jumping high to block a shot . I think Richmond gets a unfair bias here from those who just want to continue their campaign against Mullin . Owens ? At 6’11” and 220 pounds , Tarik was looking at another season of watching a lot of BE games from his seat on the Bench due to early foul trouble or , more pain fully from his back on the Court as most opponents knocked him around as easily as , a Rag Doll . Plus , given his penchant for shooting 3’s and 15 foot jumpers at a less than stellar percentage , Mitch was unable to pump the necessary 30 pounds additional weight to him . Tariq just doesn’t have the handle or back to the basket post moves to play like a Power Forward or Center . That isnt on Richmond or Mullin .

Likely? You clearly don't actually have any real info but merely make up stuff that could potentially be true or NOT but you always fail to mention the not part.

Baghdad Bob....

And , you Anderson Cooper of fake news don’t have any real insight into what Richmond does or doesn’t do, other than Your Opinion . It’s the same thing isn’t it ! You have NO Idea what Richmond does in Practice or in Player development . Do you ? Likely not ! He is a HOF player that another HOF player selected to join our Staff . Until you get similar credentials on Basketball , stop the BS .

Ok, by me , Ohio Fan . It’s clear that there is serious divide among the total posting Members as to being Pro Mullin or Anti Mullin . Yes, it’s time Moderators enter the fray when the over zealous resort to personal attack , forgetting their opinions are no more valid than anyone else’s . I take your advisory seriously and will comply . Will the other Group agree as well ?

All the things you give Mitch credit for he can do in the special assistant role, individual skill training etc. That's the role I've always called for him to be put back in. I have no idea if hes good at it, nor do you apparently, but at least we seem to agree that it focuses on what he seems to bring to the table and opens up the assistant position for people who want to do what assistants are supposed to do which is recruit, game plan, and run team practices.
Not productive guys, please stop. Thanks.
Yeah, I'm tired of wading through the back and forth, besides, I've got to devote my full attention to Bayern knocking Real out of the champions league this afternoon.:) ;)

Austor, I appreciate the opportunity to reply to a civil discussion on Richmond’s role , in a respectful way . I think Chris Mullin is the only person who legitimately and ultimately can evaluate Mitch’s role , either as the AC or , a lesser role as Advisor . I am content to leave that to Chris . The Job description of a Assistant Coach is probably better left to the Head Coach , than any of us in the Fan Kingdom . And , those descriptions might easily vary from Coach to Coach . Just saying .

You don't see any fault to what you're doing, huh? Figures. I'm not surprised. You clearly lack self-awareness. The only crying and whining is done by folks like you. Placing people into categories like this is politics or something. It's not insulting to me, but another poster may find it insulting.

I also highly doubt anyone is "anti-Mullin" as I've stated before. As, LJSA stated (paraphrase), "We're anti-laziness." Could you also stop projecting your personality on to others. You was "anti" against someone because you're petty and insecure, and now attempting to project your madness on others.

Just logically pose your opinions, stop feigning victim, stop projecting, and stop thinking no one here has any insightful/legitimate info.

Who are you to judge the laziness of Chris Mullin and his staff? This is a man who has given full effort his whole career, and had the fortitude to overcome a drinking problem. What gives you or LJSA the insight into this man to call him lazy? Maybe it is the two of you who are too lazy to support the re-building effort of this team. Much easier to just criticize.

Perhaps RDog the time has come ("The time has come today" Chambers Brothers) to have two boards only on one of which posters can bitch and moan.:)

Maybe, he doesn't have the vigor as a coach, as he did towards his career and resolving his drinking problems.

Maybe, I can give insight because I know what's going on. How about that? If you like, you can continue to stick to opinions and I'll stick to facts on this specific matter. Don't tell me what I'm "too lazy" to do, either, fool. Comprende?

What facts? I haven't heard any facts from you. Just conjecture. Maybe you think because you believe something, that makes it a fact. Well it doesn't. Che palle!! Comprende?

You can't hear anything with your head up your ass. Keep believing what you want. I can't stop or combat ignorance.

Sly, you can say whatever you like as far as I'm concerned. It would help if you kept your retorts under 500 words and didn't "speculate" on almost everything. Finally, this disappearance act isn't just recent with Mullin or Mitch so people writing doctors notes for them is 5th grade insanity. This has been a trend as soon as April comes along for two years now. Chris Mullin even abhors running any type of summer camps and has to be coaxed into a top of stuff that is second nature to experienced coaches. Norm Roberts was the last coach who loved doing this crap 12 months a year. Lavin was not a hard worker and neither is Mullin from appearances. These guys are retired millionaires and really are ego driven and not career driven in the coaching field. That btw also applied to Steve Lavin or he would have returned to coaching by now.
