If Lav leaves he leaves with a clean resume...Im sure another school will scoop him up right away. We all know he loves the west coast. ASU is not a reach. His ideal job probably would be Cal.
Respectfully disagree. Secondly, I wonder if he wants to continue in this racket v TV gigs. I know coaching would offer more $$, but quality of life may prevail.
If you are disagreeing about the clean resume point, our run of being in agreement has ended (but I'll still accept your invitation to your bowling team, Hurley's Hurlers).
Lavin brought us to two NCAA tournaments and two NITs in four full seasons of coaching--two of those years he coached with light rosters full of freshmen an sophomores. He graduated all five seniors--four early--and they all spoke glowingly of him.
To a neutral observer, Lavin rescued a program that had just one NCAA tournament appearance in nine seasons before Lavin arrived and rode off into the sunset after 21 wins and a rare tournament berth.
