Lavin on WFAN, at 2:45 pm

Random thought about DLo. In spite of his scoring average, he hasn't really had a great game yet. He has generally started of slow but eventually get his points. Scary to think what will happen when he comes out hot from the tip.
 
IMO didn't really get much of anything out of that Lavin segment.

Hard to say what's more shocking.. Francesa doing a credible interview with Coach or Joe3 not getting anything out of the segment.

It's not like he announced Orlando is now cleared or that the ACC sent us an invite or anything significant breaking news like that. All he really said was Orlando's status is still unknown, we have a talented team, and amid all the conference shuffling he will just try to concentrate on coaching and recruiting. What new material did I miss?

SI1996 stated he is shocked I didn't get anything out of it. I'd like to know what he got that was new. I agree it's good buzz, but I was hoping he would tell us things we didn't already know.

The point is this board is for diehards. That interview is to get the guy stuck in traffic who doesn't follow us closely.

if you were expecting something new I could have tempered your expectations beforehand.

I really don't think Lav has any new info to tell us. Bottom line it was good to have him on and he sounded great , imo. Just be positive man, enjoy the game tonight!

Good point, I just hate being stuck in purgatory with regards to Sanchez's decision and the future of the conference. How many weeks can you possibly need to tell a kid "yes you can play" or "no you can't"? I thought I procrastinated my work...the NCAA takes it to a new level.

Hopefully in a second-round game against an undefeated Indiana.
 
Francesa is one of the most negative and depressing guys to listen to. He very rarely gives teams props it's always about what's wrong. When people call in he is a dirtbag to them. I respect him for all the years he has been successful in the business of sports radio, but I think it's time for a new guy in his place. I love listening to guys like Stephen A. Smith, Rothenberg, etc. on ESPN New York. Very entertaining and informative at the same time. Had enough of Francesa's monotone droning voice.

Francessa was almost comical yesterday as he opened his show beating up Bart Scott for treating fans poorly...talk about the pot calling the kettle black!!!!

I can't stand him and only listened yesterday because of coach's appearance...however, will say that he was very cordial to coach...
