It's never too late to correct an error. Of course, I have no knowledge of the current personnel or politics in the athletic dept., nor do I know how Louie would react. Just a suuggestion.
Lapchick needs a statue not only for what he did for SJU, but for what he did for integration, and just common decency throughout his life, a legend and one-of-a-kind.
For his work Pro and College - rests amidst the other early legends (such as…I forget) promoting the game - Bobby Knight (as coach at Army) was I believe always high on Joe L. and I think Lew Alcinder was coming to St. John's until Coach Lapchik retired (???)
