ESPN is reporting that Kris Dunn, one of Providence's two very high profile recruits, has a serious shoulder injury and may be out for five months.
Would be a serious blow to a team trying to move up in the BE standings.

They also lost ian baker for the year with a ACL tear that will need surgery. Heard some rumors that Sidiki will stay put so that will help them.

Let's see how commited Cooley stays to Baker considering he never signed a Loi .

their fans have been trashing Sju all off season. Even have a there now bashing Harkless. Screw them. I have no sympathy

Thank you and Gman as well . Time to see what crap another fan base has to say about us. Cincy fans were bad... I have a feeling that Providence fans will be worse :)

They were also accusing Lavin of cheating. They also (like Cincy), said our boards are horrible. Well they really called them something worse but not the point. The point is I think we have one of the most nicely put together and organized websites ran here at redmen. They don't know what they are talking about.

Redmen.com and johnnyjungle are soooo far and beyond better than those cookie cutter scout and rivals message boards it's not even funny.

Agree! Many of those sites (Rivals and Scout message boards) have little-to-no-board regulation. You could end up with a bunch of subjects relating to the same thing. For instance, I don't know how many threads were made on Nerlens Noel, Jakarr Sampson, Chris Obekpa and Orlando Sanchez, per the Friars board. There were quite a few!

They should operate like many independent boards.... Have a recruiting section.

The Cincy board is laid out pretty well (as, it's an independent board like Redmen and JJ), if you ask me. I guess like any other board, it has its share of good and bad posters. I saw you over there battling it out with them again last week, MCN. ;)

Well, the injuries have nothing to do with their fanbase.

Sorry to see those kids go down. We were very fortunate last year to avoid, for the most part, the injury bug. Especially running basically 6 kids for an entire season. We have to stay classy regardless of what they do/say.

I'm sure these injuries will weigh heavily on Jordan Dickerson's decision.

Actually, I don't wish any injury on any player. I just wish for losses, if I don't care for the team or their fanbase. I wanna play Providence and Cincy, with both respective teams, with a full roster. They won't have any excuses once we kick their arses.

I don't think I blamed their fanbase for the injuries. I never like to.see kids get hurt. But I don't care if the feeling of provo fans are hurt because their season is about to go down the toilet.

Because Providence College is a "basketball only" member of the BigEast Conference I hope that it defeats every Big East "football" school.

Stronger basketblll programs at Providence, Seton Hall, Georgetown, Villanova, Marquette, and DePaul help St.John's.

Ricky Ledo will be able to practice but not play for Providence this season.

That's too bad. I would like to see the non-football schools get better, but this will certainly hold them back. I believe Moose has been warning that this was coming with Ledo, so good call by him.

Yes Moose was correct on this one but anyone who had followed Ledo's high school career knew he was an academic longshot for this season.
