Keeping Up With Old Friends Thread

Watching the game the other night ,all the SJU players when they received the ball made a move to take a shot or passed the ball to a teammate. This was not Luis style of play . He would take a few seconds to make a move to get around his defender or even defenders and many times force up a shot.
This style of play would be fine with many coaches but it would drive Pitino crazy.

Very good pickup Beast although that was not CSNY at all but a song I’d never heard by Crosby & Nash as a duo. I think most folks associate that title with the pretty famous song by the Steve Miller Band. But I learned of a new song today.

Yea, csn(y) was an interesting group that wrote and performed as solo, full group, or two or more members. Im a huge fan, but couldnt remember if that was csn or csny. Turns out it was neither but Crosby and Nash. I'd seen them so much in concert and they on 8ccasiin would play songs such as this one that they didn't record as a group. Graham Nash's songs for beginners was a great album. The songs Chicago, Military Madness, and we can Change the World were often performed in concert by the full group.

I hope that RJ Luis recovers well and realizes his dream of the NBA. His story reminds me of Sparky Lyle, who won the Cy Young award in 1977 with the Yankees. After the 78 season he was traded to Texas. His famous comment was "In one year I went from Cy Young to sayonara".
