Nobody tell Marillac that Vince played better than Maker. It will not go well. Not at all.
Surprised Maker is even playing more than nominal minutes this year to be honest.
And I am saying he should have stayed atSJU.

There seemed to be a lot of hurt feelings all around, but yes, I think everyone could have acted like adults and sorted it out.
Especially now since our offer, while less than what the reigning Big East POY would have gotten in the SEC or at BYU, is still larger than the $0 he might currently have coming in.
Isn’t there some loophole that would see RJ eligible for us next year? There must be.

I keep hearing the CSNY song "Take the money and run" playing in my head. A $2 million error in self assessment. Really sad. Fall from BET MVP and BE player of the year. Hopefully final chapters yet to be written, but he's gotta be kicking himself, hopefully not in.the shins, maybe higher.

Unless you have an ironclad first round guarantee, stay in school if you are a very good college player. Stay as long as they'll pay you. You will graduate able to buy a nice house free and clear, likely the biggest expense you were ever going to face in life. And you have a place to return to every offseason from whatever part of the world you are playing in.
To me anything short of a lottery pick vs. $2 million in NIL is silly. Bird in hand stuff.
