Our own Keegan Bradley won the Travelers Championship today in dramatic fashion by making a birdie on the 18th hole
Being a New Englander, Keegs considers the Travelers, played in Connecticut, as his 5th major
Besides being the Ryder Cup Captain this year, he has an outside chance of making the team on points
Glad to see him wearing red on Sunday
Congrats Keegan!!!! Great win!!!

Bradley, now an eight-time winner on the PGA Tour, is expected to move to ninth in the Ryder Cup standings. While in the year since he was named captain, he’s insisted that he would only play if he were among the top six automatic qualifiers, he deviated from that following the win.

“This changes the story a little bit. I never would have thought about playing if I hadn’t won. This definitely opens the door to play,” Bradley told reporters. “I don’t know if I’m going to do it or not, but I certainly have to take a pretty hard look at what’s best for the team and we’ll see.”

The 39-year-old was an unorthodox selection to be captain in the first place — he had never served as an assistant captain, and was still playing very competitive golf. Now the public debate about his position on the team will only grow as Bradley is clearly among the 12 best American players by all metrics.
 
Now that Keegan has won The Travelers PGA Tournament it raises all sorts of possibilities for St John’s

Especially , as we move closer to the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in September .

If I’m Pitino or Ed Kull , I’m thinking it could be a Major Fundraiser for the School/ Team if a Event was held either , pre Ryder Cup or post Ryder Cup with Keegan as the keynote Speaker .

More likely post Cup as all his attention for the weeks prior will be focused on his Captaincy and
Playing himself , which appears likely at this point .

It shouldn’t be hard for Pitino , etc to run this past Keegan and the sooner the better .

Did anyone notice that Keegan had
a Red Shirt and White hat on yesterday ?

Felt bad for Tommy Fleetwood but, Keegan is our guy .
