Keegan at the Barclays

As you know, this is a big vacation week, college kids are going back to school, etc. so arguably fewer people are able to attend. Take that for what it's worth.

Know that St. John's Red and White invited quite a few people who would have liked to attend but couldn't due to conflicts.

Worth going to Liberty if you have the time, particularly with KB in the hunt. Today was great fun.

It wasn't a Bethpage Black, U.S. Open crowd (as you would expect) but those following KB, Phil, etc. were into it.

Most importantly, saw Gretzky's daughter who was naturally following Dustin Johnson. We, needless to say, were following her !

Got to the barclays at 8:00am This morning and followed keegan thru the remainder of his first round from the 11th hole on He started his day today at 7;00 am .. He was consistently the longest hitter in his threesome but hit only 8 of 13 fairways . The 11th hole is a ridiculous 250yd par 3 . At the end of the 17th hole he was one under par but proceeded to hit his tee shot on the 18th out of bounds . hitting three he missed the fairway on the left . He had a long side hill, downhill shot to the green that he left short of the green . He went up and down from there for a double bogey 6 and finished the first round one over par . He played the start of his second round on the back nine that he had just finished . On the par 5 13th he out drove scottt and weekly by about 50 yards , it was incredibly long shot . He hit his fairways in the second round and and finished 7 under having shot an incredible 8 under ( course record ) 63 . The golf channel seemed unaware that Keegan was playing so well and spent more time on Adam Scott and Mickelson . They interviewed both of them but ignored keegans accomplishment. Is anyone paying attention on the golf channel ??????????
 
I spent a lot of the afternoon with Keegan's coach, Jim McLean and honestly he and the rest of Keegan's contigent didn't know he was rivaling the course record. He missed an easy birdie on his 17th hole (8th hole) but then a CBS worker stopped McLean after his 2nd shot into 9 and said if he hits that he has the course record.

Not a lot of coverage yesterday at Barclays as Keegan was setting course record 63.

Nice pairing today with Adam Scott and Rickie Fowler.
 
STJ's Andrew Svoboda shot 71 - 68 (-3) and missed cut at web.com event in Omaha.
COuld have definetly secured his PGA Tour card for next year if he made cut. Still in a
good position as he more than likely will stay in top 25 and get card.

He will have a much better year next season as he will know what to expect, more knowledge of courses
they play and just a lot more confidence because he now knows he deserves to be on the PGA Tour.

He really is a fine player !!
 
Looks like Keegan's course record might only last 1 day. Kevin Chappell is 9 under for the day heading to his last hole.
 
Keegan not having a good Saturday, going from 7 under at start to 4 under, losing 3 shots to par. Most of the field are scoring well today with Keegan having tough going.
 
Keegan Bradley going to play real well final round today. Great pairing with Jason Day.

Andrew Svoboda hanging for his PGA Tour card after missing cut in Omaha. Difficult when your
fate is in someone else's hands. Need a player ahead of him in rankings to win.
 
Andrew Svoboda finished 25th in the web.com tour Top 25 and will keep his PGA
Tour card for the 2014 season. Squeaked by. Congratulations.
