Keegan at the Barclays

keegan will tee off tomorrow at 12:55 in the Barclays tournament . i'm taking the ferry from pier 11 and it will leave me off right near the 11th hole , i'll be showing the colors
 
Keegan Bradley on the Howard Stern wrapup show this morning. He's a huge fan of the show, and actively encourage the Baba-buoy shouts from the gallery
 
I'm a big fan of Keegan's but, I don't like the shout out mentality at USGA/PGA golf events that has gotten out of control..If the networks have to muffle the crowd dialogue at tournaments to dim the "in the hole or, you the man," sound tracks, I'm all for it... It's childish and boorish behavior.Fed by the over consumption of $6 beers.

More to the point, I hope Keegan wins the Barclay's this weekend.. He needs to get that putter working better and hit those wedges closer.. His stats on making putts over 25 feet are at the bottom of the tour. Which I'm sure he knows..
 
Got to the ferry at Pier 11 just as the rain started again in the early afternoon . Will be getting up early to see him finish his first round . looks like he was on the 7th hole when they blew the horns .
 
Is Poulter playing ? I'd assume he got the brunt of baba booeys after the whole pga thing

FWIW I agree with Poulter. Ever since the first US Open at Bethpage, which was incredibly embarassing for Long Island by the way, the fans at golf events have degenerated rapidly.

The baba booey thing makes me laugh but mostly it's because for the life of me I dont get why anyone yells anything after a swing. I think they look like idiots

BTW is barclays sold out ? If I can get out of a brunch meeting sunday maybe I would take a ride over there if the leader board looked interesting

Baba booey is funnier as its random than idiots yelling get in the hole for tee shots on par 5s

I think the whole thing is based on Stern fans who for years would interrupt well publicized events by shouting Stern's name or Stern references at celebrities or interviewers or just in general to get them on air. If you wait until right after the shot, there are moments of silence where the baba booey is audible on national tv. It's actually a rude attempt by Stern's infantile followers to bring attention to stern
 
Besides the Baba Booey stuff there's been some movement to make a reference to potatoes after almost every tee shot the last few weeks, WTF is up with that? Just shut up and watch the golf, we're not all here to hear you make a fool of yourself.

I've got a question where is this golf course. I'm 46 years out of the NYC At one time I was somewhat familar with NJ born in Bergen county went to high school in Perth Amboy and while living in Manhattan worked in East Orange.NJ.
 
Jersey CIty, which is beautiful this time of year !!

The course is on the site made famous by the movie The God Father.

The "Leave the gun, Take the canolli" scene was filmed where the course now sits.

Was there today with Billy Schaefer, Kevin Barry, Moose and Matt.

Another fellow (Class of 1990 grad) was there with his wife hand 2 sons.

Moose also mentioned that Class of 1965 was at Liberty National today.

We also thought we saw someone who was on the golf team with KB at St. John's.
