Kadary

Kadary's foul shooting has been much better lately.

In fact, after missing his first two attempts at UCONN (the first game), he's 23 for his last 27 from the stripe, and is up to 58.7% on the season.

It's too late for him to get the percentage up to where it was in the past, but he appears to have straightned things out.

Did not realize he was 85% in that stretch. But, I did think when Matta chose him to shoot free throws last night, they made a mistake.

FTR, it's 79.3% total over the last six games, including missing the first two at UCONN (he made his last 4 in that game, which is where I was starting from).

Being that I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, it's no surprise I didn't remember his game despite watching him play a bunch of times last year. We didn't get to see that game until he had time to fit in, and until CRP figured out to give him a chance to be at his best. What we have seen is a multi dimensional talent with the ability to get into the paint at will. Shot not pretty, but effective from 15 feet and in. Especially after he improved his release. Many thought he lacked passion, where it's just his coolness on display. His style of play reminded me of someone, but can't think of that either. Any thoughts out there?

Dennis Johnson, PG of some great Celtic & Supersonic teams?

I'm thinking of a slasher that could get to the paint or to the rim. DJ was like, I hate to quote Lavin, your typical Swiss Army Knife. So Kadary fits that bill. Just can't recall who could shoulder fake or cross over and get to their spots whenever they wanted. Football version was Freeman McNeil. Can't run past you, can't jump over you, but elusive nonetheless.
