Kadary

Kadary makes our team better. However, he does not make or break our team. Smith and Luis are more important to our success this year. Kadary will never play in the NBA. I have become a big fan of Smith and look forward to his play this year. Luis has the talent to become a star. He needs his basketball IQ to catch up to his physical abilities.
Yes but I think unlocking Kadary’s potential is the difference between us being a BE regular season title contender and, yes, a popular Final Four choice to instead being a very solid BE team that makes the tournament comfortably but not a big threat to make a run in March.

Thinking about Kadary and his outside shot troubles, my mind went to the Big O, Oscar Robertson, who had a unique form on his outside shot. Is it easier to teach something completely different or to teach removal of a hitch that messes up shot accuracy? With an outside shot I believe Mr. Richmond could be a dangerous physically dominant NBA guard.

Not that I disagree with anything you said, I just don’t see how not being an NBA prospect means anything about his importance with us.

Think Kadary is getting more comfortable in the offense and has gotten more aggressive scoring each game. His best is still to come.

I will always root for us to be a final 4 team. However, we are not, and those who think we are. are delusional. I do think we have a good chance to win Big East regular season.

How can we have a good chance to win BE regular season but not make a big run in the final four? I’m not saying we should be favorites, but we would be a #1 or #2 seed & literally have beaten out UConn & others.

Just 2 years ago, Miami, San Diego State and Florida Atlantic all made the final 4. Maybe Kadary can help us match those 3 delusional programs. Maybe not likely, but one can only dream.
Final Four is all about matchups and who’s playing well at that time of year. Any top 26 team is potentially a final four team if things break right

This is funny. If SJU win the BE regular season title, it would likely get a 1 or 2 seed, which means you are one of the favorites to get to the final four. And making it would not be delusional.

Odd take.

...Now that we have that out of the way: he is a tremendous floor presence - we haven't had a player who sees the floor the way he does since Ron Artest....
Thought the same over the past two games... has he had some sloppy TOs... yes... but overall- majority of time- when the ball finds his hand- the correct play will be made, whether its a pass or a drive... (has had some pretty ugly looking jumpers outside of 15ft...)

Overall... real happy he's on Our team

It's so much easier to wax poetic on what has been than to be realistic about the future.

Having a good chance at something does not mean it will happen, and getting a #1 or 2 seed still leaves you four victories from the final 4. We've been to final 4 twice in the last 72 years. I believe the odds are on my side.

We’ve got NBA size 2-5 and all the makings of an elite defense. Our three point shooting looks legit, and we’ve got two elite options at the end of the game in the half court. We also, quite literally, brought a final four favorited team to double OT — all while one of our top guys had a pretty uneven game and sat out the second OT.

And, if you watch the other college games, none of them are bigger than us. We’re on par. Nothings a lock at all. But we aren’t a galaxy away from a team like Duke.

Making a Final Four is far flukier than being a 1 or 2 seed. If you’re capable of the latter, you’re certainly capable of the former. To say it’s unrealistic is quite literally illogical
