Unorthodox, not a lethal jump shooter, but a huge plus. Enjoy him!

Been a tremendous all around player for the team. I think his outside shooting and all around game will continue to improve. hope we have him for couple more years.

Has been everything we could of hoped for. Him and Clark have not disappointed. One of the most versatile guys in the Big East.

I would like to see the staff change his outside shot, reminds me of a two handed set shot.

His form is what it is. Can't change a lifetime of muscle memory. Simon probably took hundreds of thousands of jumpers with that form since his teens. Maybe staff can do some minor changes. I would love to see him get that teardrop down like Mark Jackson did. With his athleticism, he could really be a scorer since he his hard to stop going to the basket.

I don’t think he has bad form but like you said it is a set shot and he needs time to get set.

They've gone beyond not disappointing, especially Simon. Would be great if his outside shooting were better -- something he's no doubt working on with Mullin and Richmond, and which will happily keep him here for at least another year -- but he very quickly made himself a favorite of mine with his energy, his almost unstoppable drives to the basket, his defense and rebounding. Very happy to to have Clark as well. Solid player and great teammate. Can't say enough about the two of them. Kudos to Matt for recruiting them, and to Mullin for closing the deal.

What a liable kid and asset to the team. Think he is key to Marquette game as I don’t think either of their guards will be able to stay with him

On here everyone is wonderful when we win.

I think he has 6 double doubles and how many point guards in the country have done that. Makes us a much bigger team.

Beast , Simon has lifted his game of late , as has Clark . Justin’s shot , other than his getting to the Rim , is the weakness in his game . Otherwise , if he had a good jumper , he would be playing for the Knicks instead of us . I hope he plays Howard on defense today . He has the skills to limit him going off on us , as he did to the Hall. That will be a key as well as , not letting Rousey get Rowdy . As has been the formula this week, we need all 5 Starters to score in Double figures and stay out of foul trouble , especially Owens and Clark . The CA crowd will be a important 6 th Man today and make it unfriendly for Marquette . As I recall , Ponds outplayed Howard last year and needs to do so again . I like Shamorie’s chances .

Here's the thing that bugs me about your post and I'm not picking on you in particular. Just 10 days ago I was defending posts that said only ponds is a big east player and many said he couldn't shoot. Simon has like 5 double doubles and guys posted that both he and Clark wete d1 washouts who couldn't cut it with goid programs. Again , few defended them. Now we win a few close games that we were losing and giddy posters love all our guys that they hated so much 2 weeks ago that they almost unanimously said next season is Mullin do or die year, and maybe thus one.

The difference between winning and losing these games is so small that if you watched Simon during The losing streak and then sinning streak with no audio or scoreboard and most couldn't detect whete he played well and didn't. . It's all fan uneven emotions at winning at losing.

Thank God we have a great staff that has stayed grounded while losing and is staying focused while winning

Look, I am ecstatic that we won the last 3 games and hope they keep winning and do well in the BET. It still does not change the fact that we are in last place And yes coach need to have a brake out yr next yr to keep the naysayers at bay

The entire starting 5 have been putting in Yeoman's effort. Justin has guarded all positions and he rebounds like a power forward.

I'm glad he is getting his due.

Simon might be first team BE next year. He could also be better than Dom's senior year if the jump shot becomes more reliable, scary.

So let me ask you, do you trust your eyes? Right now are you looking at a good team, or a bad team?

It's really very simple Simon can play.

Simon can play and could play when we were 0-10

Ponds can shoot, and he was a giid shooter even when slumping from 3 during the 1st 11 BE games

Mullin can coach and has gotten better from day 1 in the job.

Much easier to get agreement afyer 3 straight wins than say 14 straight losses.

If everyone sticks around, with reinforcements coming in it could be pretty great.

Terrific versatile basketball player. Like most college basketball players he has a weakness his jump shot. But can be a nightmare mismatch for opposing guards with his ISO post up down low. Plays above average defense, rebounds and plays hard. He’s only gonna get better.

He's a terrific weapon and seemingly great kid.

Best part.......he's likely here for two more years.

Luv the guy, but I tense every time he’s at the line in a key sitch. It’s obvious he’s the go-to-Johnny to foul in crunch time. Hoping he shoots foul shots all summer long.
