Can you answer the question 14 or 15?

The year surprised me

That leads me to believe it's either for this coming season, or '17/'18.

Are his initials DT?

The staff liked the film they saw on this particular prospect, so Lavin went to see for himself. He's around 6'9", and his dad played in the states. I'm sure we'll find out more in the near future.

Yep.... Chiles and Hines are front row. Zags currently interviewing Boeheim.

Chiles and Hines front and center for Briscoe. I want this kid, badly.

I have always been impressed with his physicality, confidence & hard play. Hopefully the abundance of immediate PT wins him over.

Hey MJ are you at the game tonight with Briscoe? Evidently a tremendous atmosphere.

Yeah, I was there last night. I told a friend, who is also a poster, how it was "jam packed" in there. A madhouse. Never seen anything like it in all my years of attending. The beginning of the game was delayed to accommodate the crowd, as well, as not put the players in a precarious position to be injured.

I'm getting a late start today, but I'm on my way over before the start of Briscoe's and Diallo's games, respectively. Unfortunately, for me, both of their respective teams play at the same time (12pm). I'll probably watch Briscoe.

I'll try post later today.

‏@AdamZagoria Working on All-Peach Jam teams..But first thought is that Briscoe, Simmons, Monk, Trier & Allen or D Lawson would make 1st team.

Simmons is a 6'9" matchup problem. He doesn't need many shots to put his stamp on a game, either.

Trier has all the herky-jerky, dribble moves to find ways and create space for him to score. Volume shooter, though. He'll likely play no more than two seasons (a likely, one-and-done candidate).

Hey MJ

If I recall correctly you live close to the site where the Peach Jam is held.

Have you been able to attend any of the games? If so any observations?

Thanks.

Yes, I was there throughout most of the tournament. Here are some things I mentioned, per my observation of targeted recruits in their respective threads....

Isaiah Briscoe....
Big, strong, and heady. Not the fastest guy, but certainly not the slowest. He has good feet. Plays at his own tempo, and gets it done with his body and skill.

Cheick Diallo....
It wasn't one of his 'better' games, but still was very productive. He still occasionally will miss chippies around the basket. I think it has to do with him somewhat not gathering himself or getting bumped. He'll get stronger in college.

Like I've noticed when I first saw him two years ago.... He's the 'Energizer Bunny.' He seems to never tire, and usually, will be the first person down the floor on both ends of the court. I'd love to have him and Obekpa in the frontcourt together. They'd be the 'yin and yang.'

Omari Spellman....
Seems to still have some baby fat on his body. He didn't particularly 'wow' me today, but he still had a solid game. I believe he also ended up with 4 blocks.

G'town seems to have a good one in Marcus Derrickson. He's a big kid who is light on his feet. Can put the ball on the floor, as well as bang 3's. He picks his spots. Plays with patience. He should be a steady and decent four-year player for them.

One thing I also noticed about Briscoe is he displays leadership. He fouled out of the game versus Each 1/Teach 1, and was the first person off the bench encouraging and congratulating his teammates. He doesn't mind occasionally wolfing, and was the target of the opposition most times I watched him play. I didn't see him instigate anything, and he surely wasn't backing down, either.

I know Antonio Blakeney and Allonzo Trier (Trier briefly stood behind me and cheered on Briscoe during the 'playoff' round of the Peach Jam) wolfed at him a time or two. Their wolfing was basically out of respect for his game. It wasn't particularly malicious, and certainly wasn't out of hand. But the wolfing nearly got out of hand, as a kid (can't remember who at the moment) from CIA Bounce bumped (looked intentional) and wolfed at Briscoe during the latter stages of their game. Jimmy Salmon had to be restrained, as he got on the refs. It seemed Salmon had a couple of words towards one of the coaches CIA Bounce, as well. There was a big from Texas Titans who shoved Briscoe (as, well as attracted the ire of that particular player) while they both were on the ground after fighting for a loose ball. Briscoe never backed down, and held his ground.

He has a pretty decent 'off hand,' and adeptly uses it when going up for shots.

MJ as always appreciate your bball input. Briscoe had two really terrific left handed passes during the championship game. One was on the baseline where he whipped a one hand bounce pass around a defender and hit his teammate perfectly for the three. The other was off a rebound and was literally the length of the court with a man on him and right on target, it was the last play of the first half and his teammate couldn't convert. To make that pass with his right hand would have been impressive, but to make it with his left was amazing. This kid plays like a college senior.

His 20 in the final game was so effortless. He didn't force any shots and consistently looked to set up his teammates. I really hope we get him.

Thanks, mase! Briscoe actually made those kinda plays throughout the entire tournament. There was a guy, who was near me when the Playaz were playing Each 1/Teach 1 (Simmons' and Blakeney's team), who was going bananas about Briscoe's ability to make those left handed passes, as if he was a lefty. I told him, you're probably watching the best guard in high school hoops. He replied, "I had a feeling he was a blue-chipper."

A couple of times, Briscoe threw 20-foot left-handed, bounce passes on the money. Just one swift motion, and the ball was perfectly placed. He's a smooth cat.
