1 year ago yesterday we lost a friend and the most important person ever to St John’s Internet Fandom and founder of this awesome website Paul Massell

Fan websites come and go but Redmen.com and now Redfans has stood the test of time and thrived because of Paul and now thankfully because of Paul’s sons who continue his legacy

Not only was Paul a friend but he created pretty much thousands of life long friendships via this site. Every time we all get together or go to games together or even just stop by and say hi to each other during games or go out for a beer after games this is all because of Paul

Prayers to Paul’s family and thanks for everything you have done for us. A piece of Paul lives in all of us

MJMJR your words will be echoed many times over. Paul was the best and he is sorely missed every day. What he created is lifetime memories and that is a testament to him and will be his lasting legacy.

For Paul's family, many prayers for such a loss of a great human being, dad, husband and friend.

Here, we all loved Paul, but you guys loved him even more and for that reason we want you to know we love you too and you will always be in our hearts.

May eternal peace be granted onto him and may perpetual light shine upon him.

I texted with Paul’s wife today. They are coping and doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances.

And doing something else that none of us should be surprised at. Volunteering helping others

Hard to fathom it’s been a year since we lost our friend and founder of the best fan forum. So many eloquent words said in this thread about Paul by fellow posters. Nothing I say will add to that, but I will repost a thread Paul started on January 31, 2023. Just a reminder of how much love he had for his Alma mater and our redmen/redfans community. Donations to this site by any means is money well spent.
God Bless the Massell family for keeping this part of his legacy alive.

Prayers to Paul's family and may they know no more sorrow. I can only imagine how tough the last year has been for them.

I just saw my wife weeping in the backyard, grieving the loss of her mom earlier this year. She is my pillar of strength, as I get mopey and sad due to my own recent health problems. I have no doubt that Paul' wife has tremendous resolve as well. Thanks to MJM for reaching out to her and letting us all know she and Paul's family are coping as best as possible. I don't know where it comes from, but the ability and determination that women have to keep things together is amazing.

As others have said, this site is not just informational, it's therapeutic. My own issues taught me one thing in particular. Every day is a gift. No one is immune from illness or tragedy. Cherish family and friends, and be thankful for good health.

On a seperate Massell note his son Max texted me today and he’s going to be in Connecticut for work and might be able to come down to Novita next month if we do a get together so I told him to get me his best dates and we will arrange something

Well said.

As you all know, this site has helped to get me through tough times as well.

Though I have not met a lot of you in person, I feel like you are all part of my family.

God bless Paul's family. Keep them in your prayers. May Paul ever soar with all the Angels in Heaven.
